Roos Versteeg’ works are a mixture of installation, performance, workshops, participatory projects and conceptual cooking. Temporary interventions and social sculptures come to existence in art spaces, as well as in the public space. All projects start from an intensified focus on daily living and the participating public play a big role in bringing the work to life. The identity of the public differs greatly depending on the nature of the project. From art interested academics to people in precarious living situations, the artist guides them, sets the framework and invents a space for creation, encounter, experiment and play.

Well known social systems and processes are used to communicate and gather information, a good example is the artist's use of bureaucratic questionnaires.

The main theme in her work is the creation of new possibilities of looking at and experiencing our daily living.
